Photographer G. M. Dempsie, 316 Nicolet Avenue, who was arrested for shooting his son, was released on Sunday evening after explaining the circumstances of the case. The son, Guy Dempsie, 39, who had just escaped from the workhouse, came drunk into his father's studio on Saturday morning, where he began rearranging furniture and bothering customers. The father asked him to go away, which he refused. The father then shot him, after which the son disappeared.
